Kuwait provided a grant to Iraq under the guidance of its Emir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, which included four ambulances and medical equipment worth up to $ 1.8 million.
According to the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA, “the grant was presented at an official ceremony in the Green Zone in Baghdad, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Iraqi Council of Ministers Mahdi Al-Alaq, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Iraq Salem Al-Zamanan, a number of Iraqi officials and a representative of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society” .
Al-Alak said during the ceremony that “the grant of these ambulances comes in the context of continued support of Kuwait for the humanitarian file in the provinces liberated from the organization of a supporter.”
Ambassador Zamanan said that “the grant is part of Kuwait’s assistance to the brothers in Iraq, as part of Kuwait’s campaign next to you, launched by the Emir of Kuwait, to face the difficult conditions left by the intimidation in some areas of Iraq.”
He explained that “the grant is provided by the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society to the provinces of Anbar, Nineveh, Kirkuk and Salahuddin, and includes advanced medical devices.”
