Iraq and Iran agree to conduct flights from Mashad to Basra


Iraq and Iran agreed to conduct flights between the provinces of Mashhad and Basra, in order to increase tourism exchange between the two countries.
“The final agreement for flights from Mashhad to Basra was signed during the meeting, which brought together an Iraqi delegation with officials involved in tourism in Khorasan province,” the official IRNA news agency said.
The Director-General of the Organization of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism in Khorasan Abul Fadl Makrami Far announced during a meeting with Wasit Governor Mahmoud Mulla Talal, the conduct of these trips within the next two weeks to increase tourism exchange between the two countries.
“Makrami Far, considered the development of cooperation between the provinces of Khorasan and Wasit in the field of visit and therapeutic tourism of the opportunities available to the two countries,” pointing out “the tourist attractions, cultural and historical variety in Khorasan.”
She pointed out that “Makrami Far pointed to the participation of Wasit province of Iraq in the international exhibition of tourism and related industries, which will be held in the city of Mashhad next month.”
For his part, the Governor of Wasit on the readiness of Iraq to enhance cooperation with Iran in the exchange of tourists between the cities of Mashhad and Najaf Al Ashraf, announcing the reception of 35 thousand visitors from Khorasan province during the visit this year, and said that “the province is ready to receive more than 200 to 250 thousand A visitor during the next fortieth visit “.
