The Ministry of Oil postponed the auction of oil and gas for eleven new areas

“Iraq postponed a round of oil and gas tenders for 11 new plots to April 25,” said Abdul Mahdi al-Amidi, head of licensing and contracts at the Iraqi Oil Ministry, on Thursday.
Iraq originally planned to award contracts to explore and develop oil and gas for the New Rift Valley located in border areas with Iran and Kuwait and in the waters of the Gulf, on April 15.
He said the delay was only meant to give companies a little time to prepare and make presentations.
