Qatar Airways resume its flights to Kurdistan after a seven-month hiatus


Qatar Airways has announced the resumption of its flights to the provinces of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan Region, after about seven months of its suspension.
The company said in a statement, followed by the Iraqi Economic Center, it began to operate seven flights per week to each destination, adding that starting in early May, Qatar Airways will run a second daily trip to Erbil.
On March 13, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced the lifting of the air embargo on Erbil and Sulaymaniyah airports for international flights.
