On Sunday April 8, 2018, the 45th Arab Labor Conference, which will be held from 8 to 15 April, will take place with the participation of Iraq and the presence of representatives of the production parties, “Governments, Employers and Workers” from all Arab countries.
Iraq is represented at the conference by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mohammed Shiaa al-Sudani, along with 17 Arab labor ministers, and a number of Arab and international figures active in the field of economic and social development.
The session will also review the report on the activities and achievements of the organization during 2017, and several reports on the results of the 37th session of the Committee on Freedoms of Association, progress in the achievement of the Arab employment contract and on the work of Arab women.
The current session will discuss a number of important topics, headed by Fayez Al-Mutairi, the Director General of the Arab Labor Office, entitled: “The Dynamics of Arab Labor Markets, Transitions and Pathways of Progress”, as well as two technical items. 2. Productivity and its role in improving competitiveness and increasing growth.
