The Iraqi Prime Minister’s Adviser announced the launch of a form for the donors of the Kuwait Conference to convert their pledges into actions


The Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister Mudhir Mohammed Saleh Sunday 1 April 2018, that the Secretariat of the Council awaiting the response of the States and donors to a number of queries submitted by the Secretariat, in preparation for the start of reconstruction of all Iraqi provinces, especially liberated areas, which will be the priority in those grants.
Saleh said in a press statement that there is a permanent team in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers began to convert the pledges of States and international institutions and bodies wishing to provide grants and soft loans for the reconstruction of Iraq on the sidelines of the Kuwait Conference held recently, to actions by launching the “form of contribution” Distributed to all those countries and institutions and bodies, noting that the form includes the size of grants provided and the conditions of submission and the type of grant if the grant is refunded or long-term, as well as places of disbursement.
The Kuwait International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq, hosted by Kuwait from 12 to 14 February, was held with the participation of 76 countries, international and regional organizations, 51 development funds, 107 local, regional and international non-governmental organizations and 1850 private sector entities. Contributions and assistance needed for the reconstruction of Iraq, this broad momentum of investment and development partnerships for the reconstruction of Iraq resulted in the collection of US $ 30 billion.
