The Ministerial Energy Committee discussed the transfer of Iranian gas to the production plants in Basra

The Ministerial Energy Committee discussed on Thursday the activities of drilling three wells west of Qurna 2 and the pipeline to transfer Iranian gas to production plants in Basra.
A statement issued by the Office of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said that the latter “chaired a meeting of the Ministerial Energy Committee on Thursday, during which they discussed and took decisions on a number of topics on the agenda, including the long-term maintenance program with GE for the maintenance of gas units, Discussing the delay of the decision of the Committee on Energy regarding the prices of fuel oil equipped laboratories.
He explained that “has been discussed the drilling of three wells in West Qurna 2 and the pipeline to transport Iranian gas to the production plants in Basra, in addition to the tender design and construction of the banks of insulation in the field of Gharraf.
He added that “the Committee has taken a number of other decisions, in addition to following up the implementation of the directives and decisions taken at previous meetings.”
