Jordanian Prime Minister Hani al-Mulqi said on Wednesday that his country could form a breakthrough and a gateway for the reconstruction of Iraq and Syria because of the relations between the two countries.
“We are happy to see that Iraq has re-established control over most of Iraq after the victory over a supporter,” al-Mulqi said in remarks published by the Jordanian daily al-Rai. “We hope that Iraq will be an active member of its Arab and international community.”
Al-Mulqi added that “the reconstruction process in Iraq and Syria needs the support and concerted efforts of all countries,” stressing that “Jordan and its geographical location and relations with the two countries could be a start and a portal for reconstruction.”
