The Iraqi bourse fell on Wednesday after a series of gains for three consecutive days, closing the day down 0.13 percent at (637.66).
The exchange traded 1.355 billion shares valued at 1.344 billion dinars. The session saw trading of 37 companies out of 101 listed companies.
The shares of metal and bicycles rose by 10.00%, the shares of Baghdad Hotel by 4.76% and shares of National Bank by 3.51%, while shares fell production and marketing of meat by 8.22%, Commercial Bank shares by 3.92% and Babil Bank shares by 3.33%.
The number of shares purchased by non-Iraqi investors amounted to 252 million shares valued at JD 404 million through the implementation of 120 transactions on 6 companies. The number of shares sold by non-Iraqi investors reached 8 million shares, (33) million dinars through the implementation of (16) deal on the shares of one company only.
