The Ministry of Transport signed a contract to collect aircraft transiting the Iraqi airspace with the “IATA”

The technical agent of the Ministry of Transport, the head of the Iraqi civil aviation authority, Mr. Abbas Amran Mousa, signed a contract for collecting the fees for the passage of aircraft to the Iraqi airspace with the IATA International representative of the companies operating in the air transport sector, Mr. Mohamed Abash. This contract is the first of its kind, Iraqi airspace for all trans-air carriers in exchange for the provision of administrative services to Iraq.
Moussa said that the signing of this contract came to provide safe and regular air transport and is also an important economic factor contributing to the recovery of the country’s economy.
It is worth mentioning that the rate of traffic through Iraqi airspace has increased significantly after the lifting of the warning by the FAA in addition to the geographical location of Iraq, which attracts all the Gulf countries and the region.
