The Ministry of Transport said on Tuesday that the Iraqi airspace is still overcrowded by the movement of aircraft passing through Iraqi airspace, denying reports that the recent explosions in the capital Baghdad have diverted the aircraft to Iran.
The ministry said in a statement that the observer for the movement of air navigation before 2014 will note that the navigational movement was very active despite the difficult security situation in the country before 2014.
She pointed out that Oman Airways joined the convoy of international airlines that use the Iraqi airspace in many of its flights.
