US Ambassador to Iraq Douglas A. Silliman announced Tuesday that the US government will provide $ 75 million in additional funding to help stabilize Iraq after its full liberation from the Da’ash organization.
In a statement, the ambassador said the United States plans to provide a total of 150 million dollars for stabilization efforts in 2018 to help build liberated areas and restore basic services such as water and electricity.
He noted that “these funds will be provided to the United Nations Development Program through the United States Agency for International Development.”
