Iraq and Algeria have agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of energy


Algeria’s Energy Minister expressed his country’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation in the field of energy, oil and gas, in a joint press conference with Oil Minister Jabbar Ali Al-Allaibi.
Algerian Energy Minister Mustapha Qaitouni said that the aim of this visit is to hold discussions, consultations and meetings with our brothers in Iraq to enhance and increase the volume of bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the fields of gas investment, oil exploration and others, especially that Sonatrach Algerian company has great experience to achieve common goals among brothers. Iraq and Algeria.
For his part, Oil Minister Jabbar Ali al-Allaibi said that Iraq is keen to develop bilateral relations with the brothers in Algeria, praising the historical relations and oil cooperation in the seventies of the last century, stressing that the brotherly delegation will meet all officials in the national oil companies and the departments concerned in order to expand the circle of cooperation and partnership And the Minister of Oil expressed the hope that concrete steps will be taken towards holding a partnership partnership with Sonatrach, which can benefit from its experience in developing the gas industry and the optimal investment of this wealth as well as other fields.
The Algerian Energy Minister arrived in Baghdad at the head of a delegation to hold talks with officials of the Ministry of Oil and a number of meetings with officials.
