Iran exports 500 tons of steel to Iraq


Iran’s Trade Development Organization (ETO) has announced the export of 500 tons of iron bars for the first time through the bourse to Iraq.
“The steel produced at the Ruhina Steel Complex in Khuzestan province (southwestern Iran) has been offered at the price of $ 500 per ton and 500 tons have been sold to Iraq,” said Nasser Behzad, the Iranian trade attaché in Iraq.
The Ruhina steel complex produces 500,000 tons of iron rails annually; this volume is expected to rise to 1.5 million tons in three phases to reach 3 million tons within a specific program within two years.
