Baghdad International Airport announced on Wednesday that it has recorded a significant increase in the rate of its incoming and outgoing flights on the occasion of the New Year’s Day, adding that the airport receives more than 20,000 passengers every day.
“Baghdad International Airport receives more than (110) flights between the coming and departures every day, with more than 20,000 passengers on board, especially with the New Year’s Eve,” Air Transport Director Ali al-Sharqi said in a statement.
He pointed out that “Baghdad International Airport has seen great preparations to receive the new year, while extolling its potential to provide everything that would facilitate the departure and arrival procedures.”
There are more than 700 flights across the Iraqi airspace daily.
