Association of Iraqi private banks called on Turkish banks to contribute to the reconstruction of Iraq through the financing of infrastructure projects during the next phase after the disposal of ISIS.
The Association of Iraqi Private Banks received a delegation of Turkey headed by the Commercial Counselor at the Turkish Embassy and included a number of Turkish banks operating in Iraq and Vice-President of the Iraqi Turkish Drake Association Duraid Al-Ghurairi. He said that Iraq is open to all countries and welcomes the strengthening of Turkish-Turkish relations, especially that the volume of trade between the two countries exceeds 6 billion dollars annually, which makes banks play an important role in this aspect.
He pointed out that the commercial adviser at the Turkish embassy contributed throughout his work inside Iraq to achieve economic convergence and bring Turkish companies to work within the country.
He called on Turkish banks to participate in the reconstruction of the liberated areas of ISIS through the financing of infrastructure projects during the next phase.
