Oil Minister Jabbar al-Allaibi announced the production of 20 thousand barrels per day from the field of the province of Dhi Qar and national efforts.
Al-Luaibi said in a press statement that “the national effort of workers in the oil sector has been fruitful and the possibilities available for the rehabilitation and development of oil field and access to production capacity of it to 20 thousand barrels per day,” noting “is the fruit of national efforts sincere continued the night by day and an important step to enhance the capacity and efficiency Workers in the oil sector to carry out complex technical tasks in the oil industry. ”
He added that “the ministry pays attention and care and full support to the national effort in the implementation and development of some oil fields,” praising “the efforts of workers in the oil companies of Dhi Qar, Basra and oil projects and all the support that achieved this achievement.”
He stressed that moving forward with access to productive capacity to the available capacities of this field, as well as the optimal investment of associated gas, and that the surface facilities of the field can accommodate production capacity of more than 100 thousand barrels per day.
It is noteworthy that the field of the Sabra, which was discovered in the fifties of the last century is one of the three main oil fields in the province of Dhi Qar, is located southeast of the city of Nasiriyah and in the north-west direction of the field and the seismic surveys were carried out at that time, 1975, and in 1979-79, three wells were dug.
