The Arab Housing and Construction Council approved the Executive Plan for the Arab Strategy for Housing and Sustainable Urban Development until 2030.
“Iraq is in charge of the executive office of the 34th session of the Council of Arab Housing and Construction Ministers held in Rabat, Morocco,” a statement by the Ministry of Construction and Housing said.
He added that “the recommendations of the Executive Office were approved during the meeting and the most important is the approval of the executive plan for the Arab strategy for housing and sustainable urban development until 2030 and activating the joint Arab action to exchange experiences in dealing with random housing that distorts urban cities and is fertile environment for crime and infractions on infrastructure” .
Al-Shouk pointed out “the adoption of recommendations for cooperation with the United Nations Human Settlements Program and the support of the participation of Arab countries in the ninth urban forum which will be held in Malaysia early next year because it is important to benefit from the experiences of countries in the field of housing and sustainable urban development, The eleventh goal of the new global urban development agenda that makes cities resilient, sustainable and resilient to accommodate their population growth. ”
He explained that during the meeting, they discussed Egypt’s experience in providing affordable housing, housing for young people, arrangements for the Arab Housing Conference and the third forum, and discussing the possibility of training Arab cadres in regional countries that have expressed their willingness to hold specialized workshops in the housing sector and sustainable development.
