Iraqi Airways announced on Tuesday an increase in the number of flights during last November.
“The number of flights reached 845 at the Baghdad International Airport, with 86,488 departing passengers, while the number of passengers arriving is 87548,” the company’s general manager Miran Farid said in a statement.
“These numbers are expected to increase after the new services launched by the company in the field of electronic booking and other services provided by the national carrier for passengers as well as the approaching New Year’s Christmas season and near the start of the transfer of pilgrims to the Holy Land.”
“This success is due to the opening of new airlines with several countries, the last of which was the opening of direct lines with Ukraine, Russia and other countries that contributed positively to providing facilities for the Iraqi community in those countries.”
