British Prime Minister Theresa May pledged Wednesday to allocate 50 million pounds (about 65 million US dollars) to support Iraq’s infrastructure projects and restore stability in Iraq.
In a joint press briefing with her Iraqi counterpart Haidar al-Abadi in Baghdad, May said her country is working to secure 20 million pounds ($ 26 million) to support human rights and provide services in the coming years, and to secure another 30 million pounds ($ 39 million) US) to support programs to restore stability and support reforms in Iraq.
She pointed out that the projects of restoring stability can provide a safe environment for the return of the displaced, pledging to continue to continue its support for Iraq while continuing to advance reforms in various sectors.
