Tehran confirms gas exports to Iraq despite earthquake


A spokesman for the National Gas Company of Iran Majid Bujarzadeh said that the export of Iranian gas to Iraq, amounting to 14 million cubic meters per day, adding that the earthquake that hit Kermanshah did not affect the gas facilities.
“The gas facilities in western Iran are safe, safe and secure, and gas exports to Baghdad continue at 14 million cubic meters a day as usual,” Pogarzadeh was quoted as saying by the official Tasnim news agency.
He noted that a meeting of the crisis committee was held in Kermanshah in the presence of provincial officials to study the various aspects of this incident, including cutting and pumping gas.
He pointed out that the gas lines were cut in the province of Kermanshah because of some leakage in the lines and in order to ensure that there is no problem a little and then will be pumped gas immediately after being repaired by the teams that went to the province of the provinces of Hamdan, Asfahan, Kurdistan and central.
