The volume of trade exchange between Iraq and the Republic of Poland increased to 40 percent on an annual basis, while Iraq welcomed Polish companies to rebuild infrastructure.
“Polish companies are welcome in Iraq and we need partners to rebuild the infrastructure,” President Fuad Masoum told a joint news conference after meeting his Polish counterpart Andrade Doda.
“We thank Poland for its role in the reconstruction of Iraq and its assistance in fighting terrorism and liberating our country,” Masoum said.
In the first seven months of 2017, the assistant of Polish President Christoph Zerski said that bilateral trade between Poland and Iraq rose by 40 percent year-on-year, and bilateral trade reached 500 million dollars in 2016, according to official data.
