Iran has expressed its desire to increase the volume of trade and cooperation to open new and common horizons with Iraq in the areas of the central bank and energy and gas and find solutions to some issues and topics of interest to the interests of both countries.
Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mohammad Shariatmadari said during a meeting with Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce Walid al-Moussawi that Iran wants to increase the volume of trade and cooperation to open new and joint horizons with Iraq in the fields of central bank, energy and gas, Adding that the delegation headed by him will hold extensive discussions with the concerned in the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Electricity and Oil and the Central Bank on the possibilities of the two countries to contract on the implementation of joint projects, investment and trade and increase the volume of trade balance.
For his part, al-Moussawi said that the Iraqi government and its ministries to develop and activate relations and understandings in the fields of economy, trade and investment, the movement of capital, goods, industrial and commercial goods, religious tourism movement and energy fields and to serve the common interests of Iraq and Iran to be at the level of the political side and historical and social ties linking Iraq and Iran, The Iranian to the need to hold mutual meetings with the concerned from both countries to see the opportunities for trade and investment in various areas of the economy. ”
