An Armenian official said that Iraq could become one of our best energy partners.
“Iraq is expected to become one of Armenia’s most important partners in providing energy resources,” Armenian Minister of Local Administration and Development David Lukyan said at the fourth session of the Armenian-Iraqi Joint Committee for Economic, Commercial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the two countries held in the Armenian capital Yerevan.
Lukyan added that “Iraq is a friend of Armenia and bilateral relations between the two countries have developed greatly in recent years.”
He pointed out that “the Armenian and Iraqi governments are looking forward through the meeting of the Joint Committee to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, and the Armenian government in turn will facilitate the granting of entry to several countries, including Iraq, where we will discuss this issue at the meeting.”
The Armenian minister pointed out that Armenia is well-developed in the field of technology and information technology, and that there is wide scope for cooperation with the Iraqi side in this sector.
