Central Bank of Iraq sales of foreign currency rise 10 million dollars


The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI)’s foreign exchange sales rose to $ 146.24 million on Sunday, up from $ 135.84 million on Thursday, up $ 10.4 million, the central bank said in a statement.
The Central Bank said in a statement that the exchange rate amounted to 1182 dinars per dollar in the auction held with the participation of 39 banks, and 10 companies for the transfer of money.
The Central Bank noted that the sales are the outcome of the auction scheduled for Monday, July 10, according to the statement.
The bank said in a statement that the amount sold to boost bank balances abroad exceeded $ 143.64 million, while the amount of sales in cash was $ 2.6 million.
The Central Bank said in a statement that the sale of amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad at the price of 1190 dinars per dollar, while the sale of cash will be at the same price.
