The Japanese Loan Project Authority at the General Company for Iraqi Ports announced the opening of tenders for the rehabilitation of Khor Al-Zubair Commercial Port, indicating that the tender was competed by 13 local companies.
The company said in a statement that the General Company of Iraqi Ports, the project of the Japanese loan opened on Tuesday, June 20, bids of the companies advanced for the tender (PkG-1C) to qualify the port of Khor Al-Zubair commercial phase II, indicating that the tender, which was attended by the Director of the Japanese loan authority Chief Engineer Abdullah Baish, for the construction of a 50,000 square meter truck yard, which will include parking lots and public services.
She added that the Chairman of the Tender Opening Committee (PKG-1C) Chief Engineer Majid Rahim Mehr and members of his committee opened bids, in the presence of 13 local companies submitted to win the tender.
The Iraqi ports have been provided by the Japanese Agency for International Development (JICA) a second loan after success in the implementation of the first loan projects according to the Agency’s system.
