Iraq’s Permanent Representative to the International Renewable Energy Agency Raad Al-Alusi presented his credentials to the Director-General of the IAEA on Monday, calling on him to help Iraq in the field of electric power.
The Permanent Representative of Iraq to the International Renewable Energy Agency Ambassador Raad Al-Alusi presented his credentials to the Director General of the IAEA, Adnan Amin, as Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the Agency at its headquarters in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.
During the ceremony, the two sides discussed the possibility of joint cooperation between the two sides to enhance their work, he added.
He called on the Director General of the Agency to the possibility of assisting Iraq in the field of energy and specifically electric power, especially as Iraq is going through exceptional circumstances that require the provision of all possibilities and assistance in the field of renewable energy.
The largest project in the Middle East, established in cooperation with the International Renewable Energy Agency and the United Arab Emirates, was launched to extract electricity from solar energy, the statement said.
